Brass foundry patterns
Start a brass casting with a master printed to your plan.
Send your CAD file. We’ll FDM-print a master pattern for foundry trials, design revisions and short-run work, around your foundry’s process notes.
What we make
A useful first pattern for the next brass part.
- Master patterns for brass knobs, handles, fittings, brackets and decorative hardware
- Updated patterns printed from a revised file
- Printed forms for checking a shape before committing to dedicated tooling
Useful when you need to review a new shape or make a short run before investing in production tooling.
Built around the foundry
Share the process notes before we print.
Casting method affects the pattern. Send the foundry’s guidance for parting lines, draft, core positions and shrink allowance, and we’ll check your file against that brief and print the master accordingly. Your CAD file should already include the foundry’s shrink allowance, draft and parting lines. If it doesn’t, tell us and we’ll talk it through by email.
For investment casting, let us know whether the foundry needs a reusable master for making wax patterns or a printed pattern approved for burnout. The pattern material and route should match the foundry’s process.
What to send
A few details make the quote useful.
CAD file (STL, STEP, 3MF or OBJ) with key dimensions.
Sand casting, investment casting or the route they recommend.
Any shrink, draft, split or core requirements from the foundry.
How many masters you need and when the foundry needs them.
Attach your STL, STEP, 3MF or OBJ file with your enquiry.
The handoff
Revbatch makes the master. Your foundry makes the casting.
We review the file and foundry notes, agree the material, price and timing, then print the master for your foundry to inspect and use in its pattern workflow. Mould-making, brass pouring and casting finish stay with the foundry.
If the file needs an adjustment before printing, we’ll agree it with you by email first.
